Jammu, Ambphalla: Swami Vivekananda Medical Mission Charitable Hospital (SVMMCH), Ambphalla, Jammu, celebrated the 163rd birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda Ji, which also marked the 56th Foundation Day of the hospital, with great devotion and enthusiasm. On this auspicious and historic occasion, a Hawan was organised in the hospital premises to seek blessings for peace, good health, and the welfare of humanity.
The programme commenced with committee members, doctors, and staff offering floral tributes at the statue of Swami Vivekananda Ji installed in the hospital premises, by paying homage through garlands and showering flower petals, symbolising deep respect for his teachings and ideals.
Committee members of SVMMCH who participated in the programme included Sh. Subash Gupta, Chief Patron; Sh. Amar Chand Gupta, President; Sh. B. B. Gupta, General Secretary; Sh. B. S. Jamwal, Secretary; and Sh. Mohan Singh Chouhan, Treasurer. Other members present were Sh. Romesh Chander Gupta, Sh. Shankar Dutt Sharma, Dr. Sachin Gupta, Dr Satya dev Gupta, Sh. Dharamvir Chopra, and Sh. Neeraj Puri.
Key administrative officials, including Dr. Rabinder Rattanpal, Medical Superintendent, and Mr. Iqbal Deep Singh, Hospital Manager, along with consultants and doctors of SVMMCH, also actively participated in the programme.
Addressing the gathering, Sh. Amar Chand Gupta, President, SVMMCH, highlighted the teachings and inspirational life stories of Swami Vivekananda Ji. He elaborated on the philosophy of “Nar Sewa hi Narayan Sewa,” emphasizing that selfless service to humanity is the highest form of worship. He urged everyone to walk on the path shown by Swami Vivekananda Ji and imbibe his ideals in their personal and professional lives. Quoting Swami Vivekananda Ji’s powerful slogan, “Arise, awake and stop not till the goal is reached,” he inspired the hospital fraternity to continue their mission of service with renewed dedication.
The President also fondly remembered the vision and invaluable contributions of Late Sh. Anil Gupta Ji, former President, stating that his foresight and dedication laid a strong foundation for the hospital’s progress and outreach. He reaffirmed the committee’s commitment to carrying forward his vision of compassionate, ethical, and affordable healthcare for all.
The programme concluded with prayers and a collective pledge to uphold the ideals of Swami Vivekananda Ji while celebrating the hospital’s 56 years of dedicated service to humanity, reaffirming SVMMCH’s resolve to continue serving society with sincerity and compassion.
